What this is

A known bill should never be an emergency.

Property taxes. Income taxes. The six-month insurance premium. They arrive on dates you can already see, in amounts that wreck a monthly budget. SyncingFund turns the year's worth of them into one number you move into a separate account each month — so when the bill lands, the money is already there. Write the check, done.

This is not budgeting. Rent, groceries and utilities stay wherever you track them. This is the layer above: the big, predictable, non-monthly bills, funded ahead and audited every month.

The method, in five rules

  1. Fund by the month before

A September bill is fully funded by August 31. Whether it arrives on the 1st or the 30th stops mattering.

  2. Give taxes a full year

Target January and fund the year before, so you can file the week your paperwork arrives.

  3. Divide by the cycle

$3,600 a year is $300 a month. A $900 six-month premium is $150 a month — and the cycle restarts the moment you pay it.

  4. Pay yourself the sum

One transfer, one separate account, untouched for anything else.

  5. Audit monthly

Monthly amount × months saved = what must be in the account today. Five minutes to know you're on track, or exactly how far off.

One number

Three bills, one monthly transfer.

A year of big bills as the ledger computes it in May. Amounts are fictional; the arithmetic is the whole product.

Should-have-by-now is the feature. Savings apps tell you what you've put away. SyncingFund tells you what must be in the account today — and shows the gap when it isn't. Start mid-year and every row opens behind; setup gives you three honest ways to close it: a starting lump, a temporary catch-up rate, or pushing one cycle.

Agents

The monthly ritual, run for you.

This method fails exactly one way: people stop doing the five-minute audit. So a broker CLI hands the ledger to the agent you already talk to.

status

The full reconciliation table and your one number. Read-only.

add / edit

A new category, a changed estimate, a new due month.

paid

Record a payment against the current cycle as the bill clears.

roll

Advance a paid category to its next cycle so sheet and account stay identical.

The broker holds your sync code where agents can't read it and runs an allowlisted command set against the sync host only. Anything destructive stays in the browser, with you.

Pricing

The method is never paywalled.

The full ledger runs in your browser for free. You pay when you want it to follow you — or when you want someone to sit down and set it up with you.

A third of a budgeting app's price, because we never touch your bank.

Education only. We never hold your money.

No bank connections, no personalized financial or tax advice. SyncingFund teaches a method, does the arithmetic and keeps the record. Where an amount fluctuates, estimate high — having a little extra is a pleasant problem.
